A useful review, with your flying in mind
Flight reviews are listed by Skyview and by Foothills Regional Airport. A review is an opportunity to revisit knowledge, practice relevant skills, and discuss how you make decisions in the airplane.
Tell your instructor when you last flew, what aircraft you have flown, and what you want to do next. More preparation may be useful after a long break.
Prepare for the conversation
Bring your pilot certificate, logbook, medical or applicable qualification information, and questions. The instructor can discuss what is needed before you exercise pilot-in-command privileges.
- Review regulations, airspace, weather, and planning
- Practice aircraft handling and procedures
- Discuss personal minimums and recent changes
- Agree on any additional training needed for proficiency
Review and currency are different
Completing a flight review does not by itself establish every type of currency. Passenger-carrying and instrument currency are separate matters. Ask your instructor to assess the requirements relevant to your planned flights.
Instrument proficiency checks are not advertised here because current Skyview availability was not verified.
